Providing additional evaluation capacity to the 2nd Judicial District Competency Docket (REACH); this program will enable clients to access custodial and non-custodial evaluation more rapidly
BACKGROUND
When defendants' cases are set aside for competency evaluation, it can take several weeks or more to schedule a competency evaluation by a licensed practitioner. Having a dedicated evaluator will shorten this duration and enable the case to proceed through the competency docket more rapidly.
